I love the thought of Thanksgiving – not so much the dinner and all the traditions even though they must be so cozy too – but the idea of giving the things and especially the ones, we are thankful for, thought and perhaps a card.

This time of year I have to admit, that I adopt both Halloween and Thanksgiving – and then shape and mold them both, so they suites me. And especially Thanksgiving means something to me. My Thanksgiving is about counting my blessings and giving thanks to those people in my life, who are blessings to me. – and I do so with a card made especially to each of those wonderful persons.
This year I was so lucky to be given some backgrounds made with a Gel Plate – something I haven’t tried yet. And one of theese backgrounds, I imaginged, was a grungy concrete wall. To make it a kind of grungy elegant, I thought of gold spiders webs spun around in every corner – so I heat embossed webs on the background.

I love words and practically use words on the front of every card, I make and offcourse this card front should tell the receiver thank you. I chose to tear a piece of vellum in a kind of cirkel and decorate it with leaves and branches cut out of card colored with color powder – I love color powder and the beautiful blends and bursts, it gives.
On the vellum, I stamped a text about being thankful and with gold letters, I wrote “for you”. Such a fun card to make.
The card ended being 14 x 20 cm.
I love making Fall cards – my second best season.
I wish you all a cozy night – perhaps with a bit of thanksgiving.
