A4
An international standard size for paper. A4 measures 8.3 x 11.7 inches or 210 x 297 mm.
A7 Card
A small card which measures 2.9 x 4.1 inches or 75 x 105 mm.
Accordion Card
Accordion Card is folded to have pleats like an accordion: Accordian Card Ideas
Acetat
Transparent sheet made of plastic. Often used to make windows on cards – for example Shaker Cards.
Acid Free
Papers used with photographs should be free of acid and have a basic PH.
Acrylic Block
A block made of thick clear acrylic used for stamping with EZ-mounted or unmounted stamps.
Acrylic Paint
Chemical and pigment based, fast drying paint. Acrylic Paint is permanent when dry and are often used in Mixed Media projects.
Advanced Tape Glider (ATG)
Popular tape dispenser made by Scotch.
Album
A blank book with a collection of pages with photographs or pictures.
Alcohol Ink
Dye based fluid paint. Alcohol Ink is transparent and can be applied in layers. Often used on Yupo Paper, glossy paper, plastic or glass.
Airbrush
An atomizer which uses air to apply colour to a surface. Used with fluid paint.
Altered
An object that has been redecorated. For example by using Mixed Media on a ladle to give it a new look. Also called redesign.
Animated Card
A card with objects that moves – for example a Slider Card.

Aqua Paint Markers
Waterbased markers with elastic tip.
Aquarelle Paint
Waterbased paint which is mixed with water before applied to a surface.
Aquarelle Paper
Paper made of a mixture of water and cellulose fiber. Used in aquarelle painting.
Aquarelle Stamping
A stamping technique where aquarelle paint is applied to a stamp. The paint is moisturized with water before stamping.
Archival Ink
Permanent, fade resistant ink.
Art Deco
An art style characterized by geometric shapes and stylized forms. Art Deco is inspired by Expressionism and abstract art.
Art Journal
A journal which incorporates small art work like images, sketches, patterns and text. Artists often used Art Journals for testing out different techniques and mediums.
Art Mould
Form used for shaping materials like clay and pulp.
Art Nouveau
An art style characterized by natural forms and curves of plants and flowers.
Artist Trading Card (ATC)
Small miniature pieces of art measuring 2.5 x 3.5 inches (64mm x 89mm).
Artist Trading Coin (ATCoin)
Same as ATC, but with a rounded shape as a coin.
Artsy
A style characterized of techniques using paint, spray or ink often with stamped text and patterns. Artsy cards often has an abstract look and decoration besides the artsy elements is sparse.
Asymmetric Cutting
A cutting technique where the paper is cut skew or asymmetrical.
