Deco Foil is a foil used for decorating paper project. Deco Foil adds a metallic or satin finish to your craft projects.

Decorative Pin
Decorative pins are needles which are decorated with small pearls. Using decorative pins is a very nice way to add a little extra on your cards or layouts.

Design papers are papers with different colours and patterns. Design papers are used alot in cardmaking, scrapbooking and other paper craft.

A design team is a group of cardmakers or paper crafters working to enhance a brand, a shop or other paper related companies.

A designer is a cardmaker or a paper crafter who designs for a brand, shop or other paper related companies.
Diagonal Gate Fold Card
A diagonal gate fold card is a card where the two flaps on the front of the card has been folded so they meet diagonally: Diagonal Gate Fold Card
Diamond Fold Card
A diamond fold card is folded so it has a square looking like a diamond in front of it: Diamond Fold Cards There are two different types of Diamond Fold Cards – one is vertical (upright) while the other is horisontal. Diamond Glaze
Water based adhesive. Diamond Glaze can be used on top of images for a glasslike finish.
Diaper Cake
Diaper Cake is a “cake” made of diapers which have been rolled tight together. A diaper cake can have different forms like a cake, a motorcycle, an animal etc. In this photo you can see the diapers behind the owl’s eyes.
Dies
Metal forms used with cutting machines to cut paper into different forms and shapes.

Paper cut outs made by using dies.

Digital Stamp
A digital stamp is a black and white drawing. This can be printed out on suitable paper and coloured before the images is used the same way you would use an ordinary stamped image.
Direct to Paper technique (DTP)
The direct to paper technique (DTP) is using an inkpad as a stamp and apply the ink directly to paper.
Distress Ink
A popular type of ink manufactured by Ranger Industries. Distress Ink is waterbased, fade resistant ink which dries slower than other types of dye inks. This makes Distress Ink very usable for trying out techniques like colouring and blending. Distress Ink is manufactured as inkpads and refills (photo).
Distress Oxide
Distress Oxide is water reactive dye and pigment ink. Distress Oxides creates a oxidized effect when sprayed with water.
Distressed Square
A technique where you use post-it notes to mark a blank square on a sheet of paper. Then you apply Distress Ink in the square using a blending tool. This is most often used for making backgrounds.
Distress Tool
A scraping tool used for making an aged effect on paper.
Distressing
To make an aged look on paper by using ink or a distress tool.
DIY (Do it Yourself)
To make something yourself without help from professionals.
Doily
A small mat which, when used as a decorative element in paper crafting, is made of paper. Paper doiles are otherwise used for having under teacups to protect the surface underneath.
Doodley
A style in paper crafting where emphasis is put on drawing and doodling.
Doodling
Drawing something while you are thinking of something else. For example drawing doodles while talking in the phone.
Dots
Small round pieces used for decorative purposes in paper crafting, see photo. Also called Enamel Dots.
Dutch Fold Card
A card with a small flap on each side at the front of the card. A bigger flap folds down from the top and over the small side flaps: Dutch Fold Cards Also called Double Dutch Fold Card.
Drapery Fold Card
A card with folds like a curtain. Also called Curtain Fold Card or Drape Fold Card: Drape Fold Cards This type of card do also exist in a double version with two draperies: Double Drapery Fold Card
Drawer Card
A card with a drawer. There are several ways to modify it – for example put an easel on top like an Easel Card or make a pop up element inside the drawer.
Dry Embossing
To impress something into a piece of paper, either by hand using a stylus or by using embossing folder in a cutting machine. Also called relief embossing.
DT-call
An announcement for designers to join a Design Team.
Dye Ink
Transparent ink. Some type of dye inks are waterproof while others are not. Waterproof dye inks can be used for stamping motifs before colouring while waterbased dye inks are nice for trying out stamping techniques, colouring and blending.
DYMO
An electronic label maker. In paper crafting used for making texts for cards and layouts.
