I see hundreds of Christmas Cards on Social Media these days and I love it! When it came to Sandi’s Christmas Card what really made it stand out is the unusual and totally beautiful color combination.
- Type of project: Occasion: Christmas, but by changing out the sentiment it could be any occasion.
- Techniques used: Copic Marker ink Blending, background is blending brush ink blending.
- Decoration: Cardmaking dies from Simon Says Stamp: Scalloped Birdhouse, Christmas Foliage, Layered Chickadee, Stitched Rectangles, and the Christmas Blessings stamp set.
- Main colour: Teals, greens, and a pop of Yellow.
- Media used: Copic color blending, ink blending and white paint splattering.
- Equipment used: Dies, Spellbinders Platinum 6 die cutting machine, copic markers, ink blending tools.

Can you describe the project?
This is an A2 sized finished card all done in die cuts and a variety of color blending techniques.
How did you make it?
Die cutting the elements, coloring them and then layering onto a card base.
What is the size of your project?
A2 sized, 4-1/4” x 5-1/2”.
What kind of materials did you use?
Cardstock, Die Cuts, Copic Markers, Ink and blending tools, white paint, and jewels.
How much time did you use for making this?
About 1 hour.
What inspired you to make this?
A new Birdhouse die that I just had to sit and play with.
