The Clean and Simple style (CAS) has gradually become more and more popular in paper crafting. Nowadays the CAS style is just as popular as more complex styles like Vintage and Shabby Chic.

The Clean and Simple style is suitable for all occasions.

Simple geometric shapes like circles, quadrates and rectangles. Often repeating patterns. On projects like cards and layouts made in this type of style there is a lot of “White Space”.
Colors
Regarding colors it is also quite usual to stick to the clean and simple and use a limited number of different colors.
Decoration
When making cards, layout or other paper projects in a Clean and Simple style you will not use much embellishments. If you choose to use decorative elements this is often dots, sequins and perhaps some twine.
Techniques
The motifs used on projects in Clean and Simple style is often stamped and colored by using ink, paint or markers. Fuzzy Cutting, where you cut around the motifs by hand or die cutting is also common. Dymos has sometimes been used for making texts. Many cards in CAS-style often has only one layer.
