I do not make that many cards. I do not know exactly why. Perhaps it is because I make tags instead. I find tags so much more playful and free and love making them. The format is also neat, and they can be used for so many purposes. For example I sometimes makes tags and the use them in my Art Journal.

I like to make some of the decorations reach outside of the borders of the tags and why not combining that with a tag with a torn edge to add even more interest.

Sometimes I use my gel plate to print a background on the tags on which I then decorate.

I often use ready-made tags in different sizes, for example those by Ranger Ink. To save money and reduce waste you can also use tags that comes with what you have purchased. On these tags I used small pieces of scrap paper as well and stamped on old book pages. Love the looks of it.

I love using ironic and sarcastic shenanigans on my tags.

I also use the tag format instead of traditional layout formats some times and add photos.

As I focal point on my tags I love to use silhouettes, for example the women chipboard by Dina Wakley, or paper dolls by Tim Holtz.

It is so easy to just grab that tag and put it on a bottle of wine and there you are ready to bring a special and personal gift for any occasion.
