Paper Project of 2023 – Nominated in February

Each month we nominates a paper project for “The Project of the Year” in TPC Magazine. At the end of the year, we will have nominated twelve monthly projects, one of which will be elected, by TPC’s readers, as “Paper Project of the Year 2023”. Today we have the pleasure of presenting the nominated project in February.

The nominated paper project in February are three cards in a set made by Amy in USA. The reason for choosing Amy’s project is:

Each card tells its own story. Something I really liked. Lovely and playful motifs, nicely coloured.
There are so many details and nuances. The various motifs are put together so that there is good harmony.

Description of the project?
Three handmade greeting cards featuring gnome stamps from Stamping Bella colored with Copic markers.

How is the project created?
First I stamp the characters onto Copic X-Press It card stock, then I color them and any background scene using Copic markers. Once the coloring is done, I die cut the scene to give it a clean edge and mount it on a card base.

Size of the project?
Each card is a standard A2, 4.25″x5.5″

What kind of materials are used?
Copic X-Press It card stock.
My Favorite Things card stock
Copic markers
Stamping Bella stamps: Gnome Carpenter, Gnome Home, Park Ranger Gnome, Cowboy Gnome, Cowboy Backdrop and Work Life sentiment set
My Favorite Things A2 stitched rectangle stax dies

How long did it take to create the project?
Each card took about two hours to complete.

What inspired you to create this?
I just love to create fun and whimsical cards through stamping and coloring. Plus, the stamps were part of a new release that, as a design team member for Stamping Bella, I want to showcase in creative ways.
