How young can a child learn how to paper craft? Jeanne here sharing with you this fun and inspiring article.
My granddaughter “JJ” short for Jaelynne, will be 6 years old in May and since she was younger we have done projects together. She has always enjoyed coloring or just cutting and gluing paper down. But during this visit, she asked me if she could make a “layout” just like grandma makes. How could I resist? This layout was all her!

We first went thru my paper pads and she picked one with rainbows and unicorns of course, picked some clear stamps and other supplies. She told me how she wanted the papers cut, she added stickers, and also used Maggie Holmes clear stamps on my Tim Holtz stamp platform and colored the images. Even inking the edges of the papers before gluing them down using Worn Lipstick Distress Ink.
I do believe a have a future paper crafter on my hands and I’m all for it! I know that her attending preschool has helped her have such a great imagination but she also had always had an interest and has loved being in my craft room. I’m excited to see what the future holds for my little paper crafter. Look out world, my granddaughter Jaelynne will one day be well known in the craft community! This I do believe whole heartedly!
I hope that you enjoyed reading this and if you have a little paper crafter in your life, let me know! Until next time!!
