Hello everyone! Today’s topic is using trash for our projects! Yes – you heard me right – trash. Let me show you how I made my card!
I received an order from Pink Fresh Studios. It was a stamp set and there is almost always a piece of card stock behind a stamp set. This particular set had a piece of pink and white card stock that was on the diagonal. I was very inspired to use it! I had a die set coming that I wanted to use with it and when that arrived I die cut a rose border using a red metallic card stock.

I had cut the panel down to 3 3/4″ x 5″ so I would have enough room for another layer on the base. After looking through many pads of paper – none of which really looked good, I decided to use the red metallic. I cut this panel to 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″.
I used the same red metallic card stock for the sentiment.
I adhered the sentiment to the card in the lower left corner.
I mounted the panel to the card base which is a white A2 size card base. I added 3 tiny pink pearls for a little shine and in the centers of my die cut strip of roses, I added some Nuvo Jewel Drops in Rosewater. And that finished my card project!
I always look at what’s behind my stamp sets. Many companies have very interesting pieces of card stock that make unique card backgrounds!
