Outside the Box – Strips of Paper

Are you good at thinking outside the box when you are making cards, layout or other paper projects? Creative thinking may be a challenge and in our new article series “Outside the Box” we are showing how others have managed to be creative in new ways.

This gratitude card is made by Vicki in Australia. At first sight it seems like a normal card but that is before you notice the border beneath “Thank you”. The border is made of tiny strips of paper which have been mounted together to make a “Twisted Ribbon”!

I think that is an awesome and decorative way to make use of paper pieces we otherwise would have thrown away.

“Thank you” is written using “Nabilla”-font on a computer and the image is from PNGWing.

The leftover scrap papers used for the twisted ribbon come from die cutting the inlaid strips on the beautiful card below.
