Happy Mother’s Day!

The card I am sharing with you today is a Mother’s Day Card, using a lovely floral image by power poppy. The image is coloured using Copics and UHUHU markers in tones of yellow, green and blue. (I must say the robin’s egg influenced my colour choices in markers and papers.)

A Hidden Message

To find the hidden message, you simply flip up the card front and you will find it underneath. Now I didn’t just add a hidden message…. I first stencilled on clouds, highlighting a yellowish blue sky. Then I added a butterfly sticker because what is a lovely day without blue skies and butterflies as the message alludes to….

Add Girlish Fun

For the card front and base below I made die-cut borders using Stitched Hills and Slope dies from Simon Says stamps. Together they add a bit of girlish fun to the card.

Let’s Embellish!

The rhinestones and twine embellishments, both add charm to the front of the card which I am sure will also be appreciated by the recipient.

It’s Actually A Combo

A personalised message will be added to the inside of the bi-fold section of the card. This is actually a combination flip and bi-fold card. So if you like to give surprises then this is the one for you. Why don’t you give it a try!

Have a great day!
