Today I wanted to share a couple of cards I made to replenish my birthday card stash, which has been low for a while. I have been really focused on using sprays lately, and wanted to use them to color the background of my cards while leaving the main stamped image white. Both of these cards were relatively quick to make, and I like how the bold colored background allows the white floral image to pop.
Card 1
The flowers were created by stamping, heat embossing, die cutting and then spraying the flowers with an iridescent spray, basically making the white flowers shiny. I also used the floral die cut to cut out a piece of scrap cardstock with polkadotted washi tape for a little more interest.

The panel behind the flowers were sprayed with a few different sprays–a red, blue, yellow and the same iridescent spray to help the others move as the panel went through my die cutting machine in an embossing folder. I ink blended the edges with some black ink and glued the panel onto a black matte layer.
The two layers of floral die cuts (the stamped and the washi tape ones) were glued onto the embossed panel and sequins were glued around them before a glitter rose gold sentiment was glued on the bottom part of the panel.
The whole card panel was glued onto an A2-sized white card base.
Card 2
This second card features two different background colors–an orange and dark pink spray. To me, this gives this card a more fall vibe.
After spraying the two sprays, I allowed spray to drip down the panel before embossing the panel. This time, I die cut a piece of orange cardstock in my stash to act as the second layer that peeks out on the side of the stamped, heat embossed and sprayed floral die cut.
The matte layer for this card was a piece of gold glitter cardstock, and the sentiment was die cut out of gold mirrored cardstock.
I hope that these cards have inspired you to try some different coloring options on your cards. Have a crafty day!
