I love colors and I often use plenty different colors. Therefore I sometimes challenge myself to use just two or three. And if you use one of these colors as an accent it can be quite distinguished.

My friends eldest daughter is turning 18. She’s dreaming of traveling and loves Paris so I found this cool stamp of a girl and decided to build around it. First and foremost I wanted a blue background as I decided to play with the tri-colore (the French flag). Then I used a stencil to print the names of different cities in Europe. Last but not least I stamped the Eiffeltower on the side.
Here you can see how I masked the stamped image to ink blend around it.
I also stenciled stars to create the impression of fireworks on a night sky and used a die to cut out the lines of firework explosions.
I cut out a luggage for the girl to sit on and cut out the name and number in foiled cardstock.
I also sprayed with shimmer spray as a finish.
I found that the saying Less is more is true, also when it comes to colors – or what do you think?
