I’ll have to start by making a small disclaimer, because it’s not aaaall fun and I’m sure, you’ll catch my drift, at some point in your reading this.
I used the “Paper Rosetta” decorative strip die from Tim Holtz/Sizzix to make the Lollipop head. It got too small with just 1 rosetta, so I made 3 die cuts and used 1 in the middle and out of the second and third, I made a ring – and made it flat and glued it around the first rosetta as a extension and enlargement. I used a sentiment diecut to hide the center of the rosetta.
I made 2 lollipop heads to be able to put in both tulle, some diecuts of spiders web and the straw between those 2 layers. I rippede the tulle with my hands and glued it and the spiders web diecuts on the back of the front layer – sticking out in a uneven way around the head and the spiders web.
And then the straw…. after having tried my usual glue a couple of times, I decided… quiet and easy… to use my glue gun. I glued the straw on the back of the front layer and put the back layer on top – and did also glue the layers together. Wanting to see the result, I picked it up by the straw and..SWISH..the lollipop head, being heavy, turned around a couple of times. But the layers were so nicely glued. I tried to gently pull the layers apart – to put more glue on the straw….and ripped something, I shouldn’t have ripped! With the glue gun, I tried to put in a bit of glue – and still keep it nice. More head turning – but not in any kind of intended way. I tried to pull out the straw to put glue in the hole….and the straw was loose, but because of some dried glue it was STUCKED….. Well, then I went MAD with the glue gun!!!
Decorations and ribbons are indeed a blessing and can hide a ton of mess!
So then the fun truely began! Charms, stamped and colored diecuts, tassels made by dies, ribbons and string.
Those were the things, I used, but what ever you like and have, can be used.
It was fun to find dies, stamps etc. from my stash, which I could use to make all the little things and then by useing inks, Copics and embossing powder etc. , make them right to enhance the look.
And I think, I was able to hide all my glue!
A blessed end of october to you all – perhaps with a bit of Boo, creep…. and glue.
