Hello everyone! You know it’s coming, you can feel it in the air! And before we know it it will be snowing! Always sad to let go of Fall, but excited to see the first snow! Today I’ll show you how to make this glittery snowfall card!
I started by embossing this piece of heavy weight vellum. I used Simon Hurley’s new 3D stencil called Sparkling Snow. It’s from Spellbinders. This is an over-sized 3D embossing folder, so you could very easily make 2 A2 size cards. The vellum for this technique needs to be heavyweight. I purchased mine on Amazon. If you use a thinner vellum it will crack as it embosses.

I next chose my background paper. I tried various kinds of paper and this was the only one that you could actually see through the vellum. This paper is from Ella & Viv – Galaxy Kit.
I next die cut my sentiment with Navy Cardstock and the die was from Lawn Fawn. I die cut this 3 times and adhered them together.
I next adhered my vellum panel onto my background and then adhered these to an A2 size card base. I used liquid glue that I placed in the middles of the snowflakes. You can’t see the adhesive once it dries. I then added Ranger Stickles to the high points of the snowflakes using a cotton bud.
After it was dry, I added crystals to the bigger snowflake centers and holographic twinkle stars on the smaller ones. I then adhered my sentiment and used a shimmer pen on top. I adhered the sentiment in a wonky way – not straight. I thought this looked better and was more interesting. And that finished my card!
I hope this has inspired you to get out your 3D embossing folders and play!
