Each month we nominates a paper project for “The Project of the Year” in TPC Magazine. At the end of the year, we will have nominated twelve monthly projects, one of which will be elected, by TPC’s readers, as “Paper Project of the Year 2023”. Today we have the pleasure of presenting the nominated project in November.
The nominated paper project in November is a wonderful layout made by Di in Australia. The reason for choosing Di’s project is:
“I love this layout because of the color scheme and how all the embellishments fits so lovely together.”

Description of the project?
My scrapbook layout is a 12”x 12” mixed media project using various techniques. Lots of layers & lots of textures which are my signature go to thing.
How is the project created?
I started this layout using two opposite striped papers & then proceeded to start on the layering. I added strips of torn paper to the background before going over this with some gesso & then texture paste to add some extra texture. I then added some string in a random kind of way & then also pieces of frayed mesh too. The more layers the better !! Next came the chipboards which I also gave a little makeover with various paints etc & then the icing on the cake was my gorgeous photo which I had mounted on some more paper layers. Lastly came more chipboard & of course, FLOWERS!!! I cannot create without flowers. I have also added a sprinkling of tiny micro glass beads too.

What inspired you to create this?
This was a design team project. I am “team leader” for an Australian chipboard company.
