How do you start your creative year of 2024? What’s your first project? After all Christmas cards I longed for lighter colors and some flowers but also something that I could finish in about an hour.

First I cut a panel in aquarelle paper and painted a light blue and green background. Then I used a stencil with different sizes of circles and ink blended them on top of each other to look almost like a bokeh effect. I framed the background with a thin black pen.
Then I cut out a vase and some branches and flowers in white paper. I stamped the phrase and finished it of with sprinkling some enamel embossing powder around the bouquet and melted it from underneath.
I like the simplicity in design and the pale winter colors. I must remember to create more of these quick cards. It’s so satisfying!
