My project today is a card resembling slowly leaving winter behind, but still not quite having reached spring yet (at least not here in cold Denmark).
Type of project: Card
Occasion: Every day
Style: Romantic
Techniques used: Handwriting with foil pen, Flower making
Decoration: Beads
Main color: Blue/White/Silver
Medium used: White gel pen, Foil for heat
Equipment used:Freestyle Foil Quill Pen, Distresser, Diecut Machine
It all begann with, I got a Freestyle Foil Quill pen for my birthday – and at some point while practicing with the pen, I decided to get out my box with left over diecuts from other projects and find some shapes, that could be bases for greetings etc. Most of them ended up in the trash can, but a couple of them perhaps could work. I mean, – it can’t hurt with a little Grunge to give a bit of edge.
I found this amazing paper in a collection from 49 and Market called Vintage Artistry Serenty. So great for both winter and spring!
My flowers are diecuttet out of vellum and then I outlined all the edges of the flowers with a white gel pen.
And on some of them I also made some lines in the middle of the petals to make it look like structure.
Before glueing the pretty paper on the card base, I distressed the edges to make a border
The card ended up being 12×17 cm
It’s funny, how your own handwriting seems less fancy, than some handwriting on a stamp?!? Lets rock that boat and make our cards even more personal.
I wish you all a very sunny day – if not outside, then in your heads. And perhaps with a little handwriting practice.
